Bangkok proved itself to be the ideal backdrop for PetroForum APAC 2016. A city renowned for its energy and innovation was reflected in the delegates who took part in the largest and most productive event for the region to date.

The event kicked off with a lively conference featuring insights from OPW’s Managing Director, Richard Chen followed by Grant McGregor the Executive Director of Retail for Shell Thailand enlightening the audience on the 5 Minute Economy. Both speakers set the mood for a flurry of debate during the closing panel discussion, which also played host to Chevron and Petronas representatives.

Platinum Partner, OPW were joined by Bever Innovations (Gold partner) and Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Wayne Fueling Systems (Silver Partners).  Bever and GVR both announced two brand new product offerings during the events proceedings.

“This has been the best PetroForum yet, with serious intent from the oil companies – we expect to be doing business with at least 60% of the people we met at the event" - Reed Leighton, Leighton O’Brien.

“The format of this conference is highly constructive, focused and well organised.  It represents a most valuable use of time; as the blend of short-sharp (time-constrained) meetings and the networking and follow-up around the fringes of proceedings maximises everyone’s opportunity to meet, learn and plan”,  Tim Ellis, GAS.

Event organisers, OpenRoom Events pride themselves on delivering bespoke meeting programs that emphasize the importance of face to face interaction. 2017 will feature PetroForums focusing on Africa and the Middle East in March and September respectively.
